The set trip is available every day of the week.

The price per person of 20 Euros is applicable as long as a minimum number of four people have booked the tour. If there are less than four people booked on the trip, then the price per person is 30 euro pp.

Children are welcome, provided they are accompanied by an adult and have some experience with hikes.

Mount Dajti by cablecar and foot

This tour lets experience Mount Dajti.  For a relaxed trip, the Dajti Express cable car gondolas are a good option both there and back.  For a more active trip, there are a variety of hiking trails up the mountain, down the mountain, or both.  For those with an adventurous streak, there is a bicycle option.  Our favorite combination -- cable car up and bicycle down! 

From here, the tour hits a well-trodden trail that winds through the oak forest till the Cherry Pass that stands between the two peaks of Dajti. The tour continues further along the trail, which offers great views of the western lowlands of Albania and the Adriatic coast.

The trail leads to the peak of Tujani (1,580 m), which is the highest point that can be reached by foot. From the peak, the panorama broadens inland and guests can enjoy the views of Lake Bovilla locked between the mountains and the remote highlands of Tirana, dominated by the St. Mary Miçek Mountain.

After a snack break near the peak, the group starts walking back towards the cable car station for another quick ride to Tirana.

There are many nice restaurants in Mount Daity. Those who would like to enjoy lunch at any of these place are free to do so at their own expense.


Itinerary

The tour itinerary is as follows:

- 9:00 am - meet the guide at the backpackers hostel, Rr Elbesanit 85

- 9:30 am - cable car ride or hike up begins

- 10:00 am - trail begins

- 11:30 am - reach Cherry Pass and enjoy a short break

- 12:00 noon - reach Peak of Tujani and have a snack

- 12:30 pm - start walking down

- 1:30 pm - take the cable car, hiking path,

- 2:30 pm - return to hotel.

Participant guidelines

Guests should note that there could be weather changes in the mountains; it is, thus, recommended that they wear appropriate shoes for a walk in the mountains (hiking shoes or trainers) and carry an extra layer (preferably wind and water proof) in case of any weather change.

In addition, guests are requested to bring sun block cream and enough water.
