Guided rafting trip in river Vjosa.

This river flows at the foothills of the mighty Nemerçka , the highest mountain of Southern Albania. We will be paddling through its stream and rapids in the middle of beautiful nature landscape till reaching the city of Pemet.
Facts!
Outdoor Albania:
- Pioneered the first navigation of Vjosa river with kayaks and rafts in 1993!
- Realized for TVSH (Albanian Public Television) the first documentary about the rivers of Albania, showing the canyon for the first time to the public in year 2000!
- We use state of art river gear, in conformity with CE norms, and professional guides.
- Trip leader Gent Mati is an AIRaf licensed rafting guide since 1998, with more than a decade of professional river experience around the world; including descents of the Zambezi (Zimbabwe), White Nile (Uganda), Mishaualli (Ecuador) and most of the Alpine main rivers.
Program:
08:30 Meeting in Permet, hotel Ramizi and drive to Petran (10km) with OA vehicles (own vehicles can be parked in Permet).
09:00 Briefing and start of rafting trip in Petran.
11:30 End of rafting trip in Permet.
Optional: lunch in traditional restaurant ‘Coli' in Langarica valley.
The time schedule might change due to water level.

Details:
Transport: 4WD/minibus
Personal equipment offered: neoprene wetsuit, nylon spray-jacket, lifejacket, and helm.
What to bring: swimming suit, a pair of sport shoes/sandals - NOT FLIP-FLOPS/SLIPERS! A thin fleece pullover and a towel.
Tip: don't forget to bring warm clothes for after the trip!
Participant guidelines
Participants should know how to swim. Although life jackets keep the person above water, swimming or floating capacities are an added security in case of falls. The equipment provided ensures good protection against cold; however, people have different capacities to bear cold and some persons may experience a bit of a chill.
Please make sure you bring a bathing suit, a towel and a pair of (closed) water shoes or trainers. All other equipment is provided for (Neoprene, helmet, spray jacket, life-vest and paddle).
Other disclosures
Persons with heart diseases, respiratory problems or other conditions not compatible with sport are not advised to participate on this trip. If they do, they do so at their own risk.
This rafting track is classified as Wild Water III (running water with small waves) and, as such, does not present particular difficulties for navigation, or danger. The quality of the guides and the equipment used guarantee a completely safe trip. Previous experience or skill is not required. The guide on board will teach the group the basics of paddling necessary for the trip.
A tour departure requires a minimum of six people. In case the number is inadequate, participants can either choose to pay a small supplement if they want to proceed, or get a full refund. Participants who wish to form their own group may give Outdoor Albania their preferred dates and group size; with details of the number of adults and children. For every ten participants, one is free.
A booking is made by filling in the booking form, and by making a pre-payment of 30%.
