The canyon of river Osumi is one of the most spectacular natural attractions of Albania. The best way to explore it is in spring when the melting snow and the rain make it possible to navigate the entire length of the canyon with inflatable rafts. During this period, a number of high waterfalls give the canyon a dream-like charm. Guests can discover the marvellous canyon of Osumi with the guided rafting trips organised by Outdoor Albania.
Outdoor Albania pioneered the first navigation of Osumi canyon in 1993, and released the first documentary about the canyon in 2000. It is the only organisation in Albania that uses state of the art river gear in conformity with EC norms, and professional guides.
Trip leader Gent Mati is an AIRAF licensed rafting guide since 1998, with more than a decade of professional river experience around the world; including descents of the Zambezi (Zimbabwe), White Nile (Uganda), Mishaualli (Ecuador) and most of the Alpine rivers.
